What are your hours/where are you located?
182 W. Main Street, Whitewater, Wisconsin, 53190. Our hours are Noon-4PM on Saturdays or by appointment during the week.
Do you take surrenders? Where
No. Touched By A Paw is strictly focused towards the care and sheltering of stray, neglected, and/or abused cats. We do not take in surrendered cats.
About the Shelter
How old do you have to be to adopt?
Our minimum age limit is twenty four, but we do make exceptions. Additional information can be found here.
Will you watch/board my cat while I'm on vacation?
We do not offer a boarding option at our shelter. This is because we do not have the space, and we have had issues in the past with owners not returning to pick up their cat and abandoning them.
About the Cats
Why is my cat peeing outside of the litter box/around the house?
The answer to this, and many issues regarding behavioral problems can be found here, or on the website Cats International. Issues including litter box problems, scratching, aggression, and proper cat care can be found there.
* If you are having serious issues or you would like a faster answer, don't hesitate to call us. Each cat is different.*
How long do you keep the cats?
We keep our rescues until they find their forever home.
How can I spay/neuter inexpensively?
Touched by a Paw recommends the Spay Me! Clinic in Madison, Wisconsin. Click the name to visit their website.
