A Tribute to Tucker

Tucker was adopted three years ago from Touched By a Paw. He died suddenly Christmas Eve from a blood clot. Tucker's family returned to Touched By a Paw to find another loving cat. They adopted Glimmer. He was a miracle, and has fit right in.

  Jesus saw Tucker suffering that day.
A very special kitten, too hungry to play.
So he sent an angel, to pass his way.
He was to be rescued, Jesus had a plan to unlay.

He knew of a family, that was to have this stray.
They would be special, A shining ray.
He would teach them precious love, to appreciate each day.
He was a gift lent by Jesus, A Blessing they would say.

Tucker became ill, his life fading away.
His family's love and prayers could not hold death at bay.
Jesus had an assignment for Tucker to obey.
"Tucker!" Jesus called, and he heard him say.
"I need you in my meadow, to teach my kittens how to play.
The butterflies are flying and they're all getting away."

"I'm coming Jesus," Tucker replied.
But first I must tell Helen and my family not to cry.
And they must trust Jesus, He knows best, He knows why.
I will stay in their hearts forever, I will always be nearby.

In the darkness He'll send them "Glimmer" and Glimmer will glow so bright.
He will help heal their hearts, as Glimmer becomes a light.
I hear Jesus calling again. I must be on my way.
Goodbye my dear family. Till we meet at a bridge one day.
